Here are just a few things we've announced over the last few years:

 

  • Holiday entitlement - Increase from 20 to 25 and then 26 days as standard
  • Staff Contracts as first preference for vast majority of presenters and journalists
  • Ending of six day shifts for all presenters and journalists – unless wanted in which case, paid
  • Introduction of “cycle to work” scheme
  • Introduction of contributory pension years ahead of requirement to do so – started at 1% and increased to 1.5% then 2.0%
  • Introduction of discounted Private Health Care
  • Share Save Scheme for all with 10% bonus shares for those taking part each year
  • Launched UKRD Rewards – shopping discounts/tax free cash earning potential for all members of the UKRD team
  • Launched the “Future Leaders Programme” – most comprehensive of type in the sector
  • Launched NYCC Training Courses for budding Content Controllers & introduced regular conferences for content controllers
  • Long Service Additional Bonus Holiday entitlement – 1 extra day for each five years served
  • Personal Development Grant at £100, increased to £120 last year
  • Renewed focus on “green and environmental issues”

 

 

In October 2016, we added to this:               

 

  • Pension contributions increased to 3%
  • Everyone can buy one extra/additional week of holiday
  • 3 days paid leave for someone requiring IVF treatment
