Freelance Broadcast Journalist

Closing Date:
25th May 2018

Eagle Radio is looking for freelance broadcast journalists to join the news pool.

As Surrey and North East Hampshire’s most listened to commercial radio station, we operate in a busy market place, competing with all of the London stations – and beating them!

We are looking for journalists who can hit the ground running and help us maintain our place as the market leader.

You will be happy running the news desk on your own (as most of the shifts are weekends), making editorial decisions and keeping our listeners engaged.

We are passionate about local news and the digital element to our content is as important as on you’ll need to be comfortable updating our website and efficient with social media.

Weekend shifts also involve reading news bulletins, and sometimes generating content, for our sister station - Cornwall's Pirate FM.

Eagle Radio is part of UKRD, which has a strong company culture and we pride ourselves on being fun, fair, open, honest, professional and unconventional in everything we do.

If you want to join our fantastic working environment, send a CV and demo to Eagle Radio’s Head of News Lucinda Horsley:
